A/N: I don’t think I ever established this, but the boys all moved back to their hometown after they graduated from Michigan. So the story below isn’t situated in Michigan, but from where they grew up.

—————-

Axel’s POV

“I’m such a crappy boyfriend, Jack”

I sigh into the phone, as I hear Jack shifting. I hear a groan in the background as Jack hushes someone. He’s probably in bed, seeing as I called at 3 am. I do feel bad about waking him up, but he’d be even angrier if I didn’t wake him up and wallow in my emotions by myself.

“He’s gone again?” Jack asks, and I nod as I hug my knees to my chest. Pancake nudges my hand, and I move one of my hands to stroke her head.

I realize he can’t see me, so I speak up. “Yeah..” I murmur quietly, and there’s more rustling on Jack’s end.

“Hold on,” he says, hanging up. Barely a minute passes, and I hear the doorbell ring. Eager, I get up and tell Pancake to ‘stay’ before closing the door and running downstairs, hoping that the person on the other side of the door is him.

The door opens before I get to open it, Jack walking into the house and dragging along an asleep Pete. Jack probably went over to Pete’s to drag him out of the house, poor guy.

All in the span of a minute too, Pete clearly doesn’t even realize he’s been dragged out of his house yet. He probably doesn’t even realize he’s not in the comfort of his bed.

He’s wearing his shoes on his hands.

My shoulders slump slightly in disappointment, as it wasn’t the one I wanted to see at the door. Though, he’d have the keys so there was no point in ringing the doorbell. Jack always barges into our house, though he does have the courtesy to ring the doorbell before he does.

Jack releases Pete’s arm and Pete wobbles a bit on his feet to regain his balance, still completely out of it. Jack walks over to me, giving me a hug. He brings me over to the couch, sitting me down on it before going over to Pete. He grabs Pete’s arm, dragging him over and plopping him down on the couch.

Jack slaps Pete behind the head, “Wake up, bitch. There’s drama” he says and Pete’s eyes immediately go from barely open to bulging out of his sockets.

“Where’s the drama? Where the fuck is the gossip? BRING ME THE TEA!” Pete exclaims and looks around with wide eyes, causing me to laugh.

Pete calms down, looking at Jack and I and his surroundings.

“What am I doing here?” Pete asks, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

“I dragged you out of the house and to Axe’s. Axe called me at 3 am and said he’s a crappy boyfriend, so we are here to convince him he’s not” Jack informs, looking pointedly at me.

Pete looks at me, taking my hands in his. “You are, in no way shape, or form, a crappy boyfriend. Jay can-” Pete says but cuts himself off, realizing that his name is taboo for me right now.

“Why don’t you explain how you’re feeling? Why do you think of yourself as a crappy boyfriend?” Jack urges, and I nod.

I take a deep breath, “Jay’s an amazing boyfriend” I start, as Pete and Jack give me a deadpan look.

“We been knew” Pete replies, as Jack nods.

“And it’s because Jay’s such an amazing boyfriend that I’m such a crappy one” I say with a sigh, as Pete and Jack look at me in confusion.

“Going to need you to elaborate starting from the ‘And'” Jack says and I nod.

“Jay is a great boyfriend, he’s always treated me amazingly and is always around whenever I need him. He’s also constantly spoiling me and he hasn’t done anything for me to ever doubt him” I explain, as Jack and Pete nod.

“But he’s been gone a lot lately, and what I mean by a lot is that I probably saw him for a total of 10 minutes this whole week” I continue, and Jack and Pete share a look.

“I know that Jay has given me absolutely no reason for me to doubt him,” I say, feeling tears start to well up in my eyes. Jack and Pete both hug me, urging me to continue.

“He’s done nothing but been kind to me, and make me feel loved. But he’s been gone almost every night. Even on the nights he is here, he’s gone by the time I wake up. He leaves a note that says, ‘be back soon’ but he comes back really late or doesn’t come back that night at all” I say, as Jack and Pete continue to keep me in their embrace.

I sniffle, “He used to never mind me taking his phone, but whenever I so much as glance in the direction of his phone, he immediately gets up to grab his phone, hiding it in his pocket, and leaves the room”

“There are times where he’d look at his phone and have this huge smile on his face, then he’d immediately leave the house and not come back for hours. I feel like crap for thinking that Jay could be.. cheating on me.. especially after everything he’s done for me, but I just.. don’t know what I’m supposed to think”

“This is the only week we both have off before we return to training, and I was so happy that we could go on dates and spend time together again. But he’s been gone so much that I probably see him more when we’re both busy than I have this week. There are only two days left before I have to start training for the upcoming season, so we won’t be able to spend time together for a while” I finish.

“Have you talked to Jay about how you’re feeling?” Pete asks and I nod, grimacing as I remember our conversation earlier.

“Hey Jay, can we talk real quick?” I ask, seeing Jay grab his keys.

He puts them down and turns his attention towards me, smiling. “Of course, babe”

We sit down on the couch, Pancake jumping onto the couch and resting her head on my lap.

“What’s up?” Jay asks, sitting down beside Pancake so that Pancake is in between us. Jay looks tired, as he lay his head on his hand. He has really huge eye bags.

“It’s just… I’m going to have to go back to start training in two days” I start, and Jay nods.

“This was the only week we had in a while where we were both free” I continue, as Jay nods again, not sure what I’m getting at.

“I was hoping we could spend this week together, and go on dates and stuff. But..” I trail off, and Jay seems to realize what I’m trying to say.

Jay sighs, ruffling his hair. “I’m sorry baby, I know I’ve been really busy this week and rarely been home” I nod, looking down at Pancake while playing with her fur.

“I just.. want to know what’s been occupying you. Maybe I can help?” I offer, and Jay shakes his head.

“Thank you for the offer, Axe. But you can’t help with this” Jay says, getting up.

I stand up along with him, as Pancake looks up at the both of us.

“Why? We always dealt with problems together!” I yell as Jay sighs.

“Axe, drop it,” Jay says, turning to leave.

I grab his wrist, “I rarely see you. I go to bed without you beside me and whenever I wake up you’re gone! Can’t you at least tell me what you’ve been doing?” I urge, and Jay pulls his arm out of my grip.

“Axel, I told you to drop it,” Jay says frustratedly, raising his voice.

I pull my hand to my chest, looking down at my feet. Jay has never raised his voice at me, let alone act so aggressively towards me.

Jay sighs, “Shit, I’m sorry princess. I didn’t mean to-“

He reaches out a hand but I take a step back. Jay shakes his head, looking down at his phone “I got to go, I’ll be back soon”

Jay turns and leaves, the sound of the front door closing and Pancake’s whimpers being the only sound I could hear besides my sniffling.

Jack’s POV

After Axel told us about his fight with Jay, he started crying and soon fell asleep. So, Pete and I are currently carrying a sleeping Axel up to his room.

We’re strong, capable young men. So obviously, carrying a 5’4 male up the stairs and to his room is a cinch for us very capable young men.

We only almost dropped him down the stairs a few times, no biggie.

We open the bedroom door, seeing Pancake laying on the bed. Hearing the door open, Pancake immediately springs up, jumping off the bed and running towards us.

“Shhh, calm down Pancake. Don’t wake up Axe, okay? Good girl” Pete calms Pancake, and Pancake obediently follows and sits down at the foot of the bed.

We gently lay Axel down onto the bed, pulling the covers to tuck him in.

“I feel so bad..” Pete says, and I nod as we look at a peacefully sleeping Axe with puffy eyes.

I sigh angrily, walking out of the room. I stand in the hallway, taking my phone out of my pocket.

“What are you doing?” Pete says, following me into the hallway.

“Calling the son of a bitch” I respond angrily, hearing the phone ringing.

A deep, tired voice answers the phone. “Hello?”

“Where the fuck are you?” I hiss angrily into the phone.

“Woah, calm down. You already know where I am, what’s going on?” there’s a pause on the other end before the voice changes into a concerned one. “Did something happen to Axe? Is he okay?”

“No he’s not fucking okay,” I say and Pete rubs a hand up and down my back, trying to calm me down as he can probably see the steam coming out of my ears.

“He called me at 3 am, and do you know what was the first thing he said? ‘I’m such a crappy boyfriend, Jack’. Who do you think made him say that?” I whisper-yell angrily into the phone.

“Shit..”

“Shit is right you dickhead. How could you just leave Axe like that after your little spat?”

“They called and asked me to come check everything..” Jay defends weakly.

“You could’ve at least tried to console him before you left. This is so out of character of you. He was crying, Jay” I tell him, and I hear Jay’s breath hitch.

“I know this isn’t an excuse but I’ve been so stressed with lying to Axe about everything that I haven’t been sleeping well. I wasn’t thinking clearly, and I was so happy that everything was finally finished and that I didn’t have to keep a secret from him anymore that I just-“

“When will Axe know?” I cut him off.

“It’s all done, Axe will know everything tomorrow,” Jay says quietly.

“Then where the fuck are you?”

“I’m at the location.. checking things over one last time and getting ready for tomorrow”

“You better know what you’re doing, Jayden. If Axe sheds another tear, it’s your head on the line”

Axel’s POV

I groan, rolling over to turn away from the bright light.

My hand lands on something and I slowly open my eyes, blinking away the sleep. My eyes couldn’t open fully since they were swollen from how much I cried.

I look over at my hand to see a piece of paper under it. I grab the piece of paper, laying down on my back and examining it.

The paper’s folded in half, my name written in beautiful cursive writing on the front. I open it and was about to read the writing on the inside when Jack bursts through the bedroom door.

I jump slightly, my eyes widening -well, as wide as my swollen eyes can open- as I look at my best friend who has a stupid grin on his face.

“Oh, you’re already up. Moooorning” Jack greets, jumping onto the bed and laying beside me.

I chuckle, “Morning” I greet back, forgetting about the note in my hand.

“What’s that?” he asks, referring to the paper in my hand.

I shrug and open it to read the inside, Jack looking at the writing from beside me.

Good morning, Love. I’m sorry for being away all week, please don’t be mad 🙁 I have a surprise for you, so follow along with the game, okay?

Roses are red, violets are blue, go to the place, where I first bumped into you.

Easy enough, right? Good luck, I love you! 🙂

“Where he first bumped into you?” Jack reads, looking at me.

“A surprise? Is this what he’s been doing this whole week?” I mumble, and Jack shrugs. He’s been planning something for me, yet I flipped out on him and even suspected he was cheating.

God, I really am a crappy boyfriend.

I get out of bed, “Come on, let’s go”

“Go where?” Jack asks, standing up from the bed.

“To the school. That should be where I first bumped into him, since that’s where we met” I say, looking at Jack as if he was asking the obvious.

“Okay.. but aren’t you forgetting something?” he asks, and I tilt my head to the side in confusion.

Jack chuckles, “You’re seriously going out dressed like that?”

I look down at my outfit, blushing. I was wearing a pair of briefs and Jay’s shirt that barely goes over my mid-thigh.

I quickly scramble to the closet, grabbing whatever outfit I could before rushing to the bathroom with Jack’s laughter sounding behind me.

We arrive at the school, Jack parking the car in the spot that’s closest to the school. I place the ice that I was using for my swollen eyes down and excitedly get out of the car, tripping over myself.

“Geez, calm down!” Jack says, catching me.

I pout, standing up straight and walking up the stairs to the school. I pray that the doors weren’t locked and luckily, they weren’t.

We enter the school, wandering around as I think of where I first met Jay. We check the cafeteria and the library, but we couldn’t find a note anywhere.

“Where could it be?” I murmur, looking in between some books in the library.

“Is it in one of the classrooms? He said he bumped into you right? Maybe he bumped into your desk or something?” Jack offers, and I think. Classrooms… Oh!

“I think I know where it might be…” I say, and we leave the library. We continue walking through the halls as I check the numbers of the classrooms.

303… 305…. 307…

309!

“Here! I was leaving Mr. Falcon’s room after class and turned the corner” I exclaim, pointing at the end of the hall, “That’s where I bumped into him!”

“But we just came from there, and there wasn’t anything there,” Jack says, and I frown a bit. Maybe I was wrong… did we meet somewhere before this?

Suddenly, the classroom door opens, revealing a familiar face.

“Mr. Falcon?!” I yell, surprised to see my old teacher.

He chuckles, “Hello Axel, how are you?”

“I’m doing well sir. By the way, what are you doing here? Isn’t it the summer holiday right now?” I ask, wondering why Mr. Falcon is here when it’s only July.

He smiles, ruffling for something in his pocket. He takes out a paper, handing it to me. I look at it confused, opening it and seeing that it’s the second note.

“I’m glad you two found each other,” Mr. Falcon says, patting me on the shoulder.

I smile, looking down at the paper in my hands. “I’m the lucky one”

We talk a little bit more with Mr. Falcon, catching up with what we’ve been up to for the past 7 years. Mr. Falcon’s 9 year-old son is a huge fan of basketball and an even bigger fan of me. It makes me happy to know that there are people who look up to me, even after everything. I take a picture with Mr. Falcon so that he can show his son before we part ways.

“He hasn’t changed at all” Jack says, and I nod. I open up the note, Jack peaking over my shoulder as we read what’s inside.

I’m giving up on the riddles and rhymes, they’re too difficult to write.

Anyways, now that we’re here, let’s take a trip down memory avenue 🙂

The place where it all began for us, is where you’ll find the second clue.

I chuckle at the first line, he only wrote one letter with a rhyme and he’s already giving up.

“Where it all began? Is you guys bumping into each other not where it all began?” Jack asks and I look around, trying to think of what Jay is trying to say.

“This is the place we first met… but I don’t think we talked to each other here” I say, and Jack thinks about it.

“Do you remember what happened after this?” Jack asks, and I shake my head.

“It’s been 7 years, I barely even remember what I had for dinner yesterday…” I mumble, and Jack chuckles.

“Did you guys share any classes after your class with Mr. Falcon?” Jack asks, and I close my eyes trying to think.

Obviously I can’t remember my schedule from senior year, it’s been years! But I remember we definitely shared a class… that’s where Jay told me Mr. Falcon asked him to tutor me.

Now what class was it…

“Gosh, I’m getting a headache just trying to remember,” I say, rubbing my temples.

Jack chuckles, “I think I remember you had one of the sciences, PE and English in the first semester of our senior year?”

I look at Jack in shock, “Your memory is amazing”

Jack laughs, “Everything about me is amazing, I’m fabulous”

I roll my eyes, “Now that you mention it, I remember having PE first period, so it shouldn’t be that. It should be a class I have after Mr. Falcon’s, so it’s either English, Chemistry or Biology. I definitely didn’t take Physics in my senior year. Luckily the Chemistry and Biology classrooms are beside each other, so let’s go check out the English room first”

We wander around until we reach the hall where all the English related classes are. I try to open the door to one of the classrooms, but it’s locked.

“Shoot, they’re locked. What am I supposed to do?” I ask, turning to look at Jack who was stretching his back like an old man.

“Is this the classroom you were in for English?” Jack asks and I shrug.

“I’m not sure” I reply.

“Maybe it’s not in your English classroom then. It’s probably in one of the science rooms, Jay probably only unlocked the rooms that were actually needed” Jack guesses.

“That makes sense, so if either the Chem or Bio classrooms are locked we know it’s the other one!” I say and Jack nods.

“Let’s go!” I say excitedly, grabbing Jack’s arm and dragging him to the science hall.

I drag Jack through the halls as he complains about something along the lines of ‘not knowing how much moving this job involved’.

When we arrive at the science classrooms, I get Jack to stand in front of the Bio room as I stand in front of the Chem room.

“On the count of three, let’s try to open the door” I tell him and he nods.

“1… 2… 3!” We both turn the knob, and I pout as my door doesn’t open.

“Axe! It opened!” Jack calls, and I run over to him as he enters the classroom.

It looks a little different from what I remembered, but the overall setup is the same.

“Where could it be…” I mumble as I walk around the classroom in search of the note.

Jack helps me look, and I search the teacher’s desk but don’t find anything. I see Jack searching the desks, so I follow what he’s doing. I head the back of the classroom to search since Jack is searching the desks at the front.

I feel around the desks, trying to find a piece of paper. After searching about 8 desks, I finally find the desk that has the note taped to the bottom of it.

I peel the tape off and take the note, “Jack, I found it!”

Jack stops searching, walking over to me as I unfold the paper to read what’s inside.

Great job, Love.

Now, let’s see how much more you remember.

The next note is in the place where we started off our school day.

“Where we started off our school day… so first period? Then that’s the gym!” I say.

“Let’s go then,” Jack says, and we both make our way towards the gymnasium.

I hold the handle to the gym door, praying that I’m right before pulling on the handle.

“It opened! Wow, this is the fastest one we’ve figured out” I say and Jack chuckles.

“We’re just stupid”

We walk into the gym and see a weird setup. There were benches lined up at the mid-court line, stacked on top of each other to create a barricade that reaches up to my torso.

We walk up to the benches, looking at it in confusion.

“What’s going on here…” I mumble, looking around and spotting a basket of basketballs.

I walk over and see a paper taped to one of the basketballs, so I pick it up. I unfold and read what’s inside.

Shoot me to get the next clue!

“What’s that?” Jack asks, walking over to me so I show him the note.

“Shoot me to get the next clue..” Jack reads, and turns his head to the net that was behind the barricade of benches.

He squints his eyes and points at the net, “I think there’s a paper dangling from the net over there”

I look in the direction Jack was pointing, seeing a note dangling from the net. It was barely taped to the net. It’s so loose that it’ll probably fall with the slightest nudge.

I look back at the note, realizing what Jay means.

“Hey Axel! What are you waiting for? You should know what to do!” a familiar voice yells, and I snap my head up.

“Coach!” I call, seeing my highschool basketball team coach standing beside the net.

He smiles, waving at me.

“We’re meeting a lot of people today, aren’t we” Jack says and I nod with a laugh.

I walk over to the benches, positioning myself so that the net is exactly in front of me. I jump, shooting the ball as it lands into the net with a satisfying swish.

The note slowly drifts down and falls on the ground, Coach picking it up and walking over to us.

He hands over the note, “It’s great to see one of your shots up close in person again”

I smile, taking the note. “You could always come to see my games and give me a call when you do. I’d save you the best seat”

He pats me on the shoulder, “I wouldn’t want to distract you. Plus, I’ve gone to every game of yours whenever I had time. I’m really proud of you, Axel”

“Thanks, Coach”

We part ways after exchanging a few more words. Jack and I walk out of the gym, before unfolding the note to read.

I made sure this one wasn’t easy to get to, only someone with amazing basketball skills could get it.

Hmmm luckily my boyfriend is one of the best basketball players in the country 🙂

Now, take the key in this note and head to the place where we had our first time 😉

I blush as Jack laughs hysterically. “I guess we know where the next note will be”

I go to punch my best friend, but he dodges and continues laughing. We walk out of the school and get into the car, Jack driving us to the next destination.

Jack parks the car on their driveway when we get to the Williams’ household, turning off the engine.

“I’ll wait for you here,” Jack says and I nod, getting out of the car. I walk up the driveway, and the door opens before I even reach the door.

“Welcome back Mr. Miller” Carl, the head butler says as he bows.

I smile, “Hey Carl, it’s been a while”

I walk into the house as Carl closes the door behind me. I take off my shoes, placing them on the rack.

“Is Jay here?” I ask, although I think I know the answer to that.

“No sir, he’s waiting for you elsewhere” Carl replies and I nod.

I walk up the stairs, and head towards the only room with its door open.

I walk in, looking around with a smile on my face. It’s been a while since I’ve been back here. Jay and I only come back on holidays. We’ve both been extremely with our careers, so we can only visit about 2 or 3 times a year.

I see a thick book sitting on Jay’s bed, so I open it and gasp as I see what’s inside.

It’s a photo album with pictures of Jay and I. Most of the pictures I recognize are from our dates and our graduation, but there are some pictures I’ve never seen before. The pictures I’ve never seen before were mostly taken by Jay, and it was him taking a selfie with a goofy grin on and me doing something in the background.

I was either sleeping, cooking, or doing something stupid in the background of the pictures, but it makes me laugh as I remember what was happening in each picture. I never knew Jay took these.

There were some pictures that were taken by someone else. They were pictures of me and Jay goofing off with huge smiles on our faces or pictures of us cuddling.

I smile as I look through the pages, until I flip the page and see nothing but a note. I take the note, and furrow my brows as I flip through the book and see that the rest is empty.

I close the book, placing it on my lap as I open up the note and read it.

Hey princess, thanks for going along with everything.

This is the last one, head to the place where had our first date.

I’ll see you soon 😉

I leave the room, walking down the stairs. I put on my shoes and say goodbye to Carl as I walk towards the car, getting in.

“That took longer than I thought, you found it?” Jack asks, and I nod.

“We need to go to Jay’s family’s diner, you know where that is?” I ask, and Jack nods since we’ve been there with the others a few times.

We make our way to the diner and I tell Jack about the photo album I found in Jay’s room.

Jack coos, “Aw, that’s so sweet! He’s been documenting you guys’ relationship from the start”

I smile and nod, “Yeah, I really loved looking back on everything we’ve done together and I felt my heart melt when I thought of Jay looking for all these photos and putting them together. Though, around half of the book is empty”

Jack frowns a little, “Empty?”

I nod, “The pictures only fill about half of the book, but the rest of the pages are empty. I wonder what that means…”

Jack shrugs, “We’re here”

Jack parks in a spot, and we get out of the car. The bell above the door chimes as we open it, and we look around the empty diner. Well, it was empty except for one person standing at the counter.

“Took you guys long enough” Jason sighs, walking around the counter.

“Jason? Where’s Jay?” I ask, thinking that Jay would be the one here.

“He’s not here, come on” Jason says, walking out of the diner so we follow him.

He opens the door to Jack’s car, “Get in” he says, and I look at Jack quizzically.

Jack just shrugs, getting in the back as I get in the front.

“Um, where are we going?” I ask but Jason just grins.

“It’s a surprise” he responds vaguely, so I just sit back with a huff.

We drive for about an hour before Jason takes a turn into the forest. I look around at the familiar scenery, but still not quite knowing where we’re going.

After about half an hour, I start realizing where we are as Jason parks the car in a clearing.

I spot a figure leaving the familiar warehouse and a huge smile spreads on my face. I quickly get out of the car, clutching the photo album tightly in my arms as I run over to the figure.

I leap into his arms as he catches me, spinning me around and placing a soft kiss on my forehead.

“Hi baby, how’d you enjoy the thing I set up?” Jay asks, placing me down on the ground.

“It was fun!” I exclaim, and Jay smiles.

He takes my hand, “Well I’m not done yet”

He looks behind me at Jason and Jack, before guiding me into the warehouse where the huge air balloon sat.

Jay got his pilot’s license a while ago, saying that he remembered how much I enjoyed flying.

I place the photo album on a table, before we get into the basket and slowly float into the air, the string attached to the hot air balloon kept us from flying off.

I look out at the scenery, feeling relaxed. “I forgot how calming it was being up here”

Jay hums, coming over and hugging me from behind.

“So this was what you were setting up the whole week?” I ask dumbly, already knowing the answer.

Jay smiles, “Yeah, I had to get permission from the school and everything. You had no idea how hard it was to find Mr. Falcon and Coach. I was worried they wasn’t around anymore”

“How’d you get them to agree?” I inquire, confused as to why they would come to help their students from 7 years ago. I was surprised they remembered us.

“That was actually the easy part” Jay answered vaguely, but I just smile and decide not to push it.

“Was Jack any help? I wanted him to be with you and give you hints whenever you needed” Jay says with a smile.

“So THAT’S how he knew my classes! I knew there was no way he could’ve remembered!” I say and Jay chuckles.

After a while of us just looking out at the scenery in silence, I decide to speak up.

“I love you. I’m sorry for flipping out on you,” I apologize, and Jay spins me around so that I’m facing.

“It’s alright. I’m sorry for leaving after we fought, I shouldn’t have left you alone. It was just that I got a call to do a last minute check, and I was just so happy it was over so that I can be with you more that I wasn’t thinking” Jay says, and I cup his face.

“Thank you for doing this” I thank and Jay smiles, taking my hands from his face. He takes a step back, releasing my hand and sticking a hand in his pocket. He ruffles around, looking for something. He finds it, taking his hand out of his pocket.

He lowers down on one knee, revealing a box in his hand.

I cover my mouth as I gasp, feeling the tears starting to spill from my eyes.

Jay smiles, “Axel Miller, 7 years ago I made you a promise that I’d always stick with you no matter what happens and that I’d make you happy. Right here on this exact balloon, I gave you that promise ring, saying that it’ll have to do until we’re both ready for marriage”

“You truly have made me the happiest man on earth, and I couldn’t have asked for a more caring, understanding, beautiful, and perfect boyfriend. I probably saved a whole country in my past life in order to have the gift of being with you now. I can not express how grateful I am for Mr. Falcon giving me the opportunity to become a part of your life. I want to continue spending every waking moment beside you, continue holding you in my arms and be able to show you how much I love you every second of every hour of every day. So, Axel Miller” Jay opens the box in his hand to reveal a beautiful silver band with a diamond in the middle.

“Will you continue to make the happiest man on earth and marry me?” Jay says, his shaky voice giving away how nervous he is even though he has a smile on his face.

I nod with tears streaming down my face, “Yes”

Jay’s smile widens and he stands up, taking the ring and slipping it onto my fourth finger.

He embraces me in a tight hug, “I love you. I’ll love you till our last breath. And even then, I’ll love you as a ghost” Jay says with a cheeky smile.

I laugh and wipe my tears, “I don’t know how I feel about that”

Jay just smiles, “I’ll always love you. I’ll love you forever

Jay wipes my tears that continue flowing, and kisses my nose.

He takes out a polaroid camera, from one of the compartments. “Smile”

I smile as Jay snaps a photo, the polaroid emerging from the camera. Jay takes it and holds onto it as he puts the camera back.

We slowly make our descent back to the ground, and Jay gets out of the basket before helping me.

“Babe, where’s the photo album?” he asks and I go over to the table and grab it, handing it over to him.

He opens it up to the first empty page, slipping the polaroid into the slot.

He hands it back to me with a smile, “Let’s make more memories together”

I smile back, realizing why Jay left half the pages empty.

Jay raises his head and looks at something behind me, “Baby, turn around,” he says and I turn around, my eyes widening.

All of our friends and family were here, standing in front of us with anticipation written all over their faces.

I smile, holding up my hand and showing them the ring on my finger.

They all cheer, and run up to us.

“MY BABIES ARE GETTING MARRIED” May and Mace yell, embracing us each in a tight hug.

I laugh, patting Mace on the back.

I look over at Jay who looked annoyed at his mother’s affection, which only caused me to laugh harder.

Our life together was only just getting started, and I’m ready to fill up the rest of the photo album with all our memories to come.

A/N: Hey guys, I hope you enjoyed this chapter!

It’s ‘Pancakes’ one year anniversary!

One year ago today, I published this story and I can’t even begin to explain how emotional I am after writing this chapter, I feel like my babies are REALLY growing up now T^T

I really want to thank you all for the amazing support you’ve given Pancakes this year, and reading you guys’ comments and messages you send me really makes my day and gives me the motivation to write.

Thank you all for everything!

Please vote for this chapter, and have a nice week!

Stay healthy everyone!
